Reading Calendar

Create a reading calendar with your child to encourage daily reading. Each day your child will get to mark his reading goal on the calendar. Eventually reading will become a habit.

You'll Need: Construction Paper Ruler Markers Stickers

Directions:

Draw a simple monthly calendar grid on the construction paper using the marker. Let your child decorate the calendar with markers and stickers. You may also want to encourage him or her to write his or her name on the calendar. Each day your child gets to record the books or stories he or she has read that day. Seeing how much they have read in a month will give any child a great sense of accomplishement.
